Cheryl Lynn Mcconnell

Cheryl McConnell, 62, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away suddenly at her home in Ogden, Iowa, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

Cheryl's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 2, 2013, in the fellowship hall at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Cheryl Lynn McConnell was born on January 7, 1951, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of LaVern and Betty (Bennett) Leichliter. She was a graduate of the Ogden High School class of 1969 and went on to attend D.M.A.C.C. in Boone.

In 1985, Cheryl was united in marriage to Dave McConnell at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. To this union one son was born: Cody McConnell. Cheryl and Dave later divorced.

Cheryl belonged to the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. She made her home in Ogden and enjoyed baking and gardening.

Cheryl's parents preceded her in death.

Among the survivors are her son, Cody McConnell of Des Moines, Iowa; and one brother, Larry (Deanna) Leichliter and family of Ogden, Iowa.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
