Ada Sprecher

Ada Sprecher, (nee Muench), peacefully passed away from this life into her Eternal Reward in Heaven on Monday, April 18, 2016, at the age of 97, at the Ogden Manor.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Pastor Wade Brandt will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Maas Cemetery. Ada Luetta Muench was born on June 5, 1918, in Ogden, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Susan (Rinehart) Muench.

Ada was united in marriage to Arnold Sprecher on February 9, 1939, at the parsonage of Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Arnold and Ada farmed north of Ogden until the couple moved into town in 1978.

Ada was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she enjoyed being active in Ladies Aid, LWML, and the quilting group for many years.

Loving and devoted mother of Ardyce (Jerry) Fangmann of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and Arlyn (Leta) Sprecher of Overland Park, Kansas; three grandchildren, Lisa Fangmann and her husband Bruce Johnson, Jered (Christine) Sprecher, and Megan (Kevin) Schumm; five great-grandchildren, Levi, Ezra, and Avram Sprecher, Peri and Lyla Schumm; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Sprecher, Leone Schmoldt, and Oletha Sprecher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold of 69 years of marriage, two sisters, Edith and Ethel, four brothers, Cleo, Howard, Marvin and Milan, and a grandson, Joel Fangmann.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the administration, nurses and staff at the Ogden Manor, and also Suncrest Hospice Care and doctors for their kind and compassionate care of Ada.

In lieu of flowers memorials made to Zion Lutheran Church would be deeply appreciated.
