Belva Ann Vest

Belva A. Vest, 89, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.

A funeral service for Belva will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden, Iowa. Private family burial will be held at Renner Cemetery, near Boxholm, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Belva Ann Wiener, daughter of Orace and Esther (Tourte) Wiener was born on February 23, 1933, in Paton, Iowa. She received her education in Boxholm, Iowa. On August 10, 1951, Belva was united in marriage to Keith Vest in Ogden, Iowa. To this union were born a daughter Jane, and a son Jeff.

The couple lived and farmed near Boxholm for many years, retiring from farming in 1980 at which time they moved to Boone.

Belva was an active member of The Evangelical Free Church in Boone for many years.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Mark Trueblood of Ogden; granddaughters, Shawna (Brad) Freeman of Indianola and Sarah (Lance) McConnell of Urbandale; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Vest; daughter, Jane Trueblood; son, Jeffrey Vest; sisters Vida Leathers and Doris Merriam, a brother-in-law, Roy Vest, and a sister-in-law, Maxine Sindt.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
