Beverly Bernice Long

Beverly B. Long, 84, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Madrid, Iowa.

Funeral services for Beverly will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Christian Church in Lehigh. Pastor Kay. Christie will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. Visitation will be held at the Church on Friday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Beverly Bernice Ford, daughter of William and Maud (Cox) Ford was born on October 21, 1936 in Lehigh, Iowa. She attended Lehigh Schools and graduated in 1954. Following her education, Beverly married Russell Lee Long. To this union, eight children were born. The couple later divorced but remained close with one another. Beverly worked for many years as a C.N.A. in Fort Dodge, Webster City, Stratford and Dayton.

Beverly enjoyed quilting with her church ladies. She especially loved being out in the country on the farm and loved all kinds of pets on the farm. Beverly cherished time spent with her children, grandkids and great grandkids. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her eight children, Debbie Ferguson of Humboldt, Monte Long of Lehigh, Sidney Long of rural Lehigh, Joyce (Jim) Buckendahl of Storm Lake, Rhonda (Greg Ritter) Long of Madrid, Keith Long of Dayton, Jolene (Art) Watson of Madrid, Rodney Long of rural Lehigh; her grandchildren, Tina, Jimmy, Russell, Melisa, Shanez, Garrett, Curtis, Marcy, Sam, Gabby, Amy, Mindy, April, Jessica, Elisha, Raymond, Jamie, Joshua, Matt, Samantha, Ashley, Brittany and Brad; and several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was also preceded in death by her brother, Don Ford; grandson, Jimmy Cooper; granddaughter, April Taylor; and many other relatives.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
