Carroll "Lee" Wheeling, Jr.

Carroll "Lee" Wheeling Jr., 55, of Harcourt, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 16, 2012, at his home.

Lee's body has been cremated. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Rev. Dr. Karen Young will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date in Arkansas.

Carroll Lee Wheeling Jr. was born on December 3, 1956, in Ontario, Oregon. He attended High School in Dallas, Texas.

On November 6, 1981, Lee was united in marriage to Elaine Phillips in Cheyenne, Wyoming. To this union three children were born: Stephanie, Dustin, and Brittanie.

In 1994, Lee attained his G.E.D. from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. Lee was self-employed and did contract labor.

Lee enjoyed fishing, was an avid outdoorsman, and most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Wheeling of Harcourt, Iowa; three children, Stephanie Wheeling of Harcourt, Iowa, Dustin (Etya) Wheeling of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Brittanie Wheeling (Rick Gregory) of Laurens, Iowa; and seven grandchildren, Desirae, Marcuss, Matthew, Toviah, Jocelyn, Emma, and Amethyst.

His mother, Lois Venable, and a cousin, Marjorie Pelton, preceded him in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
