Cathy Paterson, 64, of Webster City, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Webster City.

Cathy Lin Nagel was born on March 5, 1954, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Dwight and Elsie (Vermeer) Nagel. She was the eldest of four siblings.



She was a graduate of Humboldt High School class of 1972, where she lettered in band and softball. Years later she furthered her education by earning an Associates Degree, that she used working as a Financial Aid Director for a small Junior College in Nashville, TN.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her life partner, Cindi Ladd, Michelle Ladd both of Ashland City, TN, and her brother, Steven Nagel of Tacoma, WA.



Survivors include Ray Peterson of a previous marriage; their two children, Krissy Paterson of Lehigh, IA, and AJay (Morgan McDougal) Paterson of Dayton, IA; four grandchildren, Tyrine 22, Laython 15, Aniah 9, Arabella 5; brother, Jeff Nagel of Fort Dodge, IA; and sister, Chery Konecne of Nashville, TN.



Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
