Christie Johnson

Christie Johnson, 58, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her home.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2010, at United Methodist Church in Lehigh with Rev. Dennis Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh.

Christie Johnson was born on August 5, 1951, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Thelma (Goodpaster) Johnson. She graduated with the Central Webster Class of 1969 in Burnside.

Christie worked for U.S.G. in Fort Dodge, Webster City Products for 16 years, Laughlin Tire in Webster City, and she was currently employed at Casey's General Store in Dayton. Christie was a lifelong resident of Lehigh.

Christie was a member of the Lehigh City Council. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her parents, Raymond and Thelma Johnson of Lehigh, Iowa; brother, Lonnie (Sandy) Johnson of Lehigh, Iowa; sister, Lorie (Ronnie) Hanus of Woolstock; nieces and nephews, Todd Everett, Cori Jewett, Charmae Thul, Charlie Hansen and Stancia Hansen; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
