Claryce "Janice" Tilley

Claryce "Janice" Tilley, 78, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Claryce Janice Hendershott was born on March 9, 1940, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Clyde and Bertha (Anderson) Hendershott. She attended Ogden schools and later Jr. College in Illinois, where she received her Associate's Degree.



On June 20, 1958, Claryce was united in marriage to Roger Tilley. To this union four children were born: Tamara, Larry, Lisa, and Lenny. Claryce and Roger later divorced.



Claryce was employed by Wal Mart where she worked as a cashier for many years, retiring in 2012.



Survivors include her children, Larry Tilley of Boone, Iowa, Lisa (David) Becker of Boone, Iowa, and Len Tilley of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Tamara Lee Tilley, two brothers, Merrill Hendershott and Francis Hendershott, and four sisters, Caroline Gliem, Betty Watson, Evelyn Price, and Lois Carpenter
