Cleo E. Lincoln, 93, of Ogden, Iowa, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at the Boone County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Paul Evans will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden with Military Graveside Rites presented by the Boone Veteran's Council.
Cleo Eldon Lincoln was born on August 20, 1917, to Charlie and Rachel (McGee) Lincoln in Boone County, Iowa, living most of his life in this area. Cleo served in the United States Army during WWII, and upon his return drove truck until 1952, when he started his own business, Lincoln Construction. He retired at the age of 82. On November 19, 1954, Cleo was united in marriage to Myrna Patten in Fremont, Nebraska. Myrna passed away on November 13, 2007.
Survivors include his sister, Marjorie Blanshan; step-daughter, Sharon Cazett; step-son, David (Jeanne) Patten; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Myrna Lincoln; son, Roger Lincoln; sister, Mildred; brothers, Milo, Kenneth, and Wayne; and a grandson, Jerry Cazett.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
