Darrell D. Davisson, 47, of Bouton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 23, 2023, of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services for Darrell will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden with Pastor Evelyn Lewiston officiating. Private family burial will follow at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden.
Darrell Dean Davisson, son of Doyle and Shirley (Blank) Davisson was born on May 6, 1976, in Boone, Iowa. He graduated from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School with the class of 1994.
On October 3, 1998, Darrell was united in marriage to Cindy Sorenson at Marion Street Methodist Church in Boone, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born: Cassey and Becca.
Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, riding four wheelers, watching Iowa Hawkeye’s Football, mushroom hunting, camping with his family, kayaking, and watching Sponge Bob with his daughters. Darrell was an animal lover and loved watching his daughter’s show their animals at the county and state fair. Darrell was nicknamed Little Debbie by his daughters.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Davisson; and his Grandma Butch.
Survivors include his two daughters, Cassey Davisson of Ankeny, Becca Davisson of Pilot Mound and their mother, Cindy of Pilot Mound; his mother, Shirley Davisson of Bouton; three sisters, Lisa (Jason) Ward of Perry, Beth Henze-Smith of Slater, Kyla (Martin) Vitek of Grinnell; his step mother, June Davisson of McAllen, TX; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
