Dawn Paris

Dawn Carol Paris, 41, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Dennis Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be at the Pilot Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of arrangements.

Dawn was born September 13, 1970 in Boone, IA, the daughter of Mike and Marilyn (Heck) Anderson. They lived at Pilot Mound. She attended Grand Community School and graduated from Ogden High School in 1988. Dawn graduated from DMACC in 1990. She worked as a medical secretary at the McFarland Clinic in Ames. For the past 18 years she has worked as a judicial clerk at the Boone County Court House.

She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Joe Paris in 1990. They lived on an acreage in Boone for 10 years before building a home near Pilot Mound in 2000. She loved raising Labradoodle and Goldendoodle puppies. Besides spending time with her beloved dogs, Dawn also enjoyed shopping, interior decorating, riding her parents' 4-wheeler on their farm and watching movies. She especially loved spending time with her niece and nephew, Carley and Sam.

She cherished her husband, family and dogs. Dawn will be dearly missed by her husband, parents, sister Stacey (Casey) Sonju, niece and nephew Carley and Sam, all of Sioux Falls, SD; mother-in-law CeCe Paris; brother-in-law Mike Paris, niece Ella; brother-in-law Jeff (Debbie) Paris, nephew and niece Cory and Kelsey; sister-in law Nancy Habrich, nephews Kyle, Tyler and niece Kaitlyn; Tammy (Cory) Paris-Walker, niece and nephew Halle and Nolan, all of Boone, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Ruth Heck and Harold and Beulah Anderson.
