Daymon G. Peterson, 54, of Burnside, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, near Lehigh, Iowa, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Public visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Those planning to attend are encouraged to observe social distancing. Daymon Grant Peterson was born on November 12, 1965, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Wayne and Patricia Peterson. He graduated with the Central Webster High School class of 1984.

On June 16, 1990, Daymon was united in marriage to Diane Willhoite at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burnside. They were blessed with one son, Mason.

Daymon worked at Ponderosa Towing, in the construction field with his father and was later employed by Electrolux in Webster City for several years until the plant closed. He was currently employed as a maintainer operator for Webster County Secondary Roads.

Daymon enjoyed driving his Camaro, drag racing, camping, four-wheeling with friends, and drinking his Bud Light!

Survivors include his wife, Diane Peterson of Burnside, IA; son, Mason Peterson of Burnside, IA; two sisters, Celeste (Carl) Christensen of Fertile, Iowa, Myla (Kevin) Waters of Adel, Iowa; his brother-in-law, David (Jeni) Willhoite of Lehigh, IA; father-in-law, Chester Willhoite of Lehigh, IA; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Patricia Peterson, brother in infancy, Wayne Peterson II, and his mother-in-law Rita Willhoite.
