TSgt. Dick Clark Cook, 79, of Fraser, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2009, at his residence in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at the Pilot Mound Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of the arrangements.
Born in Greene County, he was the son of the late Morris J. Cook and Ella Goldie Wolf. He served in the USAF for 24 years and retired with honors, with an additional 17 years at Fibers Industries as an electrician.
Throughout his life he enjoyed his world travel with the USAF and the hobbies of woodworking, leatherwork and model trains. Some of his passions were his classic chevy's, fishing, and of course, his many cats.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Eleanor Cook; and two sisters, Patricia Kimsey and Helen S. Kemp.
Survivors include his sister, Lois Joyce Williams of Madison, SD; three daughters, Patricia Hernandez-Cook of Dubai,U.A.E., Alena G. Morrow and husband Marshall of Fork Shoals, SC, and Candace C. Cook of Gatlinburg TN; three sons, Morris E. Cook and wife Kathleen of Palm Bay, FL, John F. Cook and James B. Cook of Greenville, SC; twelve grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
