Donald Eugene Launderville

Donald E. Launderville, 71, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.

A memorial service for Don will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ogden, Iowa. Father Timothy Johnson will officiate. Inurnment will be held at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements.

Donald Eugene Launderville was born on September 1, 1951, the son of Paul and Darline (Walsinger) Launderville, in Carroll, Iowa. Don’s family lived in Cooper, Beaver and Ogden. He graduated from Ogden High School with the class of 1971. Don attended DMACC in Boone where he received his LPN Degree. Following his education, Don worked for several skilled care nursing facilities in Fort Myers, Florida.

He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Ogden.

Don enjoyed dogs, show horses and genealogy. He was also a caller for square dances. Don was very social and had quite a sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Susie in infancy, and Carol Lindgren; three brothers, Joe, Michael and Jerry; and his two brothers-in-law, Lyle Conklin and Durn Lindgren.

Survivors include two sisters, Georgia (George) Hogg of Washburn, WI, Linda Conklin of Ogden, IA; two brothers, Richard Launderville of Ames, IA, and Mark Launderville of Ogden, IA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
