Donald Lee Howe, 90, of Dayton entered eternal rest on November 21, 2022 at Pearl Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing at Gowrie. Donald was born January 1, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas to Lee and Vivian (Newlan) Howe. The family relocated the family to the Dayton area in 1942. Donald married Rosalie Mortenson on October 31, 1957. Three children, Kevin, Kristine and Kim, blessed this union. They settled on a farm north of Dayton where he farmed and worked in Ft Dodge at Land O’Lakes. He moved the family to town in 1970 where he opened a small engine sales and service business, Don Howe and Son, and continued to work in Ft Dodge. He was very active in the community where he served on the Dayton Utility Board for several years. Donald retired from Ft Dodge in 90’s and sold the business in 2013.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Kristine Howe, daughters in law, Gwen Howe and Susan Kjose, grandchildren, Michelle Stegeman, Joseph Howe and Daniel Howe, Johnathan Kjose and his sister, Betty Ann Peterson, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rosalie, brother, Jim Howe, and his sons, Kevin and Kim.
Memorials may be made to the Twin Lakes Bible Camp in Manson, Iowa.
