Donald Lewis Lass Sr.

Donald L. Lass Sr., 84, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Westhaven Community in Boone, Iowa.

A Private family burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Per the family’s wishes, no public services will be held.

Donald Lewis Lass, son of Peter and Dorothy (Crouse) Lass was born on August 5, 1935 in Ogden, Iowa. He graduated from Ogden High School class of 1953.

On August 28, 1955, Don was united in marriage to Joyce D. Wright at the Central Christian Church in Jefferson, Iowa. After marriage, the couple lived and farmed in the Ogden area for many years. In the mid 1980's, Don and Joyce moved into Ogden. He retired from farming in 2002.

Don belonged to the Church Of Christ in Ogden. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his two sons, Gary (Marci) Lass of Ogden, Iowa, and Don L. (Sandra) Lass, Jr. of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren, Daniel (Amanda) Lass, Kara (T.J.) Klith, Jeremy (Laura) Lass and Charise (Ethan) Bailey; ten great grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, and Macy Lass, Jude, Jackson, Jase and Jayden Klith, Payton Lass, Braden and Brody Bailey; and his sister, Darlene Johnston of Dayton.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce; grandson, Brandon Lass and his brother, Dean Lass.

The family has requested no memorials.
