Doris Jensen

Doris Jensen, 65, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Rev. Phil Waldo will officiate. Doris Jensine Jensen was born on February 22, 1950, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of George and Colleen (Schwene) Jensen.

Doris graduated from Ogden High School. She lived in Ogden for much of her life, but for the past several years she has been living in Boone. She worked for Goodwill Industries for many years and later worked for Genesis Development.

Doris was a member of the Open Bible Church; she was a board member at Good Connections and was a member of the Aktion Club

She leaves behind her cousins, Rick Schwene, Sharon Baker, Lori Geisheimer, Julie Hilbert and Susan Miller. She was a loving person who will be missed by many, many dear friends who lived and worked with her through Genesis Development in Boone.

Doris was preceded in death by her mother, father, and loving step-father, Harry Giese.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
