Douglas Wayne Mumper

Doug W. Mumper, 70, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his home in Lehigh.

Douglas Wayne Mumper was born on April 12, 1951, the son of Agnes Faye (Slawson) and Lawrence Mumper Sr.

He graduated with the Central Webster High School class of 1969, and furthered his education at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.

On August 20, 1969, Doug was united in marriage to June Ellen Murray at the Christian Church in Lehigh. To this union two children were born: Scott & Tracy.

The couple established their home in Lehigh. Doug was employed as an over the road truck driver at Nissens and later for Praxair for many years until retiring. He was a lifelong teamster and an avid hunter & fisherman.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Mumper Sr., and wife, June Mumper, on November 1, 2014.

Survivors include his son, Scott (Megan) Mumper of Boone, Iowa; daughter, Tracy (Ghassan) Abdelqader of Beaverton, Oregon; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by one brother, Lawrence C. (June) Mumper Jr., of Dayton, Iowa; and a sister, Patricia (Ron) Axne of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

His father, Lawrence Mumper Sr., and wife, June Mumper preceded him in death.
