Doyle D. Davisson, 69, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, in Mobridge, South Dakota.

A celebration of life gathering for Doyle will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Leonard Good Community Center in Ogden, Iowa. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Doyle Dean Davisson, son of Ross and Nadine (Arnold) Davisson was born on December 25, 1949 in Perry, Iowa. He received his education from Roosevelt Elementary School in Perry and attended Perry High School. Following his education, Doyle entered the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea. While in the army, one of Doyle’s duties was as a dog handler.

On July 26, 1971, Doyle married Shirley M. Blank in Boone, Iowa. To this union, Darrell and Lisa were born. The couple resided in Boone and Bouton, Iowa. Doyle and Shirley later divorced.

Doyle was employed at Sanderville Homes for many years and later worked for 3M in Ames for over 33 years until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling.
On April 6, 1996, Doyle married June F. Dole at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Beth and Kyla joined the couple as they made Ogden their home.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, Doyle was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Davisson and mother-in-law, Nancy Dole.

Survivors include his wife, June Davisson of Ogden, IA; son, Darrell (Cindy) Davisson of Boxholm, IA; three daughters, Lisa (Jason) Ward of Perry, IA, Beth Henze-Smith of Slater, IA, Kyla (Martin) Vitek of Grinnell, IA; 9 grandchildren and1 great grandson. He is also survived by his siblings, Debra Broadie of Iowa Falls, Ia, Lyle (Patricia) Davisson of Independence, KS, Cindy Murphy of Altoona, KS, Russell (Marie) Davisson also of Altoona, KS, Shelly (Kurt) Bean of Caney, KS, Mark (Lori) Bogue of Connecticut, Lou Knapp of North Carolina, Matt Bogue of Davenport, IA, Tina (Keith) Hoyt of North Carolina; and his father-in-law, Bill Dole of Winterset, IA.
