Edward "John" Schreier

Edward “John” Schreier, 78, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at his home.

Edward John Schreier was born on March 24, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son Earl and Marjorie (Olson) Schreier.  

John attended school in Burnside and after a short time in college married Jeanette, and had three children, Maria, Michelle, and Mark.   They later divorced and he traveled the country, working in the construction industry.  John later married Carol, and they had one daughter, Kelly.  He settled in Lehigh in the 80's with Jolene and they had two children, Minette and John.   He later lived alone.  

After retirement John worked in farming and in the off season enjoyed staying with his grandkids and going to watch them play school sports.   John enjoyed golfing, playing horseshoes, playing cards, writing poetry, music, and many sports. He especially enjoyed long country drives, visiting with family and friends, and staying with his grandkids at the Lake of the Ozarks.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Earl Schreier, son, Edward John,  daughter, Maria, his sister, Pamela, and a nephew, Ryan.

Survivors include four children, Minette, Kelly, Michelle, Mark; three siblings, Nancy Lane, Terry (Timothy) O’Grady, and Daniel Schreier; and his grandchildren; Robert John, Letha Ann, and Carly Jo.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Memorials may be left to the discretion of his family.
