Erma J. Tell, 86, of Dayton, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton.
A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday September 13, 2017, at the United Methodist Church in Dayton. Rev. Michael R. Standfest will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will follow in the Dayton Cemetery. Erma June Rosendahl was born on April 12, 1931, in Manson, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Dora (Zell) Rosendahl. She was a graduate of Otho High School.
On August 28, 1953, Erma was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Tell at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. To this union two children were born: Gary and Carol.
Erma worked as the activities director at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton for over 15 years until retiring. She belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Dayton.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Keith) Harrison of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren, Alyssa (Myles) Michehl and Kim Jimenez, several step grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Iles and Marilyn Tell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dick Tell, son, Gary Tell, and one sister, Marie Rosendahl.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
