Esther L. Stahl

Esther L. Stahl, 77, of Ogden, Iowa, and formerly of Olathe, Kansas, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 6, 2010.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., June 11, 2010, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, Kansas, under the direction of D.W. Newcomer Funeral Home of Overland Park, Kansas. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of local arrangements.

Esther Lucille Medlin was born on December 1, 1932, in Spring Hill, Kansas, the daughter of George and Ruby (Climer) Medlin. She was educated in the area of her birth. Esther was united in marriage to Lewis William Stahl on June 25, 1975, in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple lived in Olathe, Kansas, and in November of 1998 moved to Ogden. As a young lass Esther worked in sales, as a restaurant waitress & cook, radio, and navigational stock and assembly until retiring due to injury.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis Stahl of Ogden, Iowa; three sons, Douglas Young of Ogden, Iowa, George Young of Olathe, Kansas, and Dwight (Janet) Young of Kingwood, Texas; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Jimmie, Johnny, and David Young; one sister, Oleta Land; and one brother, Charles Medlin.

Memorials may be tendered to the choice of the giver: Salvation Army and the Diabetes Foundation are suggested.
