Faye Reutter

Faye Reutter, 93, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018, at the Ogden Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm. Rev. Rod Meyer will officiate. Burial will be at Lawn Cemetery in Boxholm. Faye Marie Freie was born on June 8, 1924, in Boxholm, Iowa, the daughter of Warner and Mildred (Lundberg) Freie. She was a graduate of Boxholm Consolidated High School class of 1941.

On August 30, 1946, Faye was united in marriage to Daniel B. Reutter, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm.

Faye worked for Boxholm Telephone Company, longtime Boxholm city clerk, and later worked as a nurse's aide at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.

Faye belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church, she enjoyed baking, needlepoint, going to her grandkids activities, having coffee with her friends and playing cards.

Among the survivors are two sons, Craig Reutter of Boxholm, Iowa, and Steve (Barb) Reutter of Des Moines, Iowa; two grandchildren, Andrew (Michelle) Reutter of New Canaan, Connecticut and Melissa (Frank) Sohm of South Sioux City, Nebraska; four great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ryder, Ava, and Andi; one sister-in-law, Marijane Scheurich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Daniel in 1999.
