Gary Lee Shadle

Gary L. Shadle, 79, of Grand Junction, Iowa, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Accura Healthcare in Ogden, Iowa.

A graveside service for immediate family and close friends will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3-6 p.m. also on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Community Center in Grand Junction, Iowa. Arrangements were entrusted with Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden.

Gary Lee Shadle son of Oren and Isabelle (Brown) Shadle was born on June 25, 1943 in McCallsburg, Iowa. As a young child he moved with his family to Boone where he received his education from the Boone Community Schools. Following his education, Gary began his career in carpentry. In his later years, he was a self-taught auctioneer. He enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets and loved to wheel and deal on cars, antiques, and houses. Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Brenda “His Heart”; his brother in infancy; three half-brothers and one half-sister; and many nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his loving wife, Connie Burgart of Grand Junction; step-children, Doug Burgart, Shelly Hostetler, Tony Burgart and Mark Burgart; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
