Gary Tell

Gary Tell, 59, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

Gary's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Pastor Michael Standfest will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dayton Cemetery at a later date. Gary Lee Tell was born on June 8, 1955, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Dick and Erma (Rosendahl) Tell. He attended Dayton schools.

Gary lived in Rippey, Iowa, and was employed by I.B.P./Tyson for over 15 years. He later worked at Monsanto in Boone until retiring due to health issues.

Gary was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed Iowa Hawkeye Football. He loved spending time with family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Orr) Jimenez and her husband, Carlos of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren, Breyton and Alianna; his mother, Erma Tell of Dayton, Iowa; one sister, Carol (Keith) Harrison of Fort Dodge, Iowa; a niece, Alyssa Harrison (Myles Michehl) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; two stepsons, Dwight (Christina) Orr of Newton, Iowa, and Kyle Orr of Fort Dodge, Iowa; aunts, Marge Iles and Marilyn Tell of Dayton, Iowa; and several other friends and relatives.

His father, Dick Tell, and several aunts and uncles preceded him in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
