Jane E. Trueblood

Jane Esther Trueblood, 56, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Paul Evans will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Community United Methodist Church.

Jane Esther Trueblood was born on February 23, 1955, in Boone the daughter of Keith and Belva (Wiener) Vest. She graduated from Grand Community in May of 1973 and soon after married her high school sweetheart. Mark and Jane were married on December 15, 1973 in Boxholm, Iowa. She was the secretary at the Methodist Church in Ogden and later became Superintendent Secretary for the Ogden School District. She had been working as a Regional Secretary for Heartland AEA for fourteen years.

Jane had been an active resident of Ogden and the Methodist Church. Her passion was her kids while they were growing up and now her five beautiful grandchildren. Her grandkids were her life and she loved spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband, Mark of Ogden, Iowa; two daughters, Shawna (Brad) Freeman of Indianola, and Sarah (Lance) McConnell of Urbandale; five grandchildren; Hunter, Brady, Ava, Ella and Layla her parents, Keith and Belva Vest of Boone; one brother, Jeff Vest of St. Pete, Florida.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
