Jeanne Phipps

Jeanne Phipps, 90, of Ogden, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Ogden Manor.

Jeanne's wishes were to be cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is assisting the family.

Margaret Jeanne Lepley was born on January 18, 1920, in Union, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Hazel (Craft) Lepley. She was a graduate of the Woodward High School. Following her education, Jeanne was united in marriage to Russell Phipps. To this union two children were born: Judith and Michael. Jeanne was the librarian in Ogden for many years where she and Russell farmed. She loved animals and the outdoors.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Tonsfeldt of Ogden, Iowa; four grandchildren, Steve (Christie) Tonsfeldt, Lesli (Brett) Hayes, Tony (Carolyn) Phipps, and Sarah (Karl) Johnson; six great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, and Jake Tonsfeldt; Carson Hayes, and Brenna and Bronte Phipps. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Phipps in 1998; son, Michael Phipps; sister, Jo Houle; and her brother, Jack Lepley.
