Jenece Kisch, 92, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton. 

A funeral service for Jenece will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Christian Church in Lehigh. Pastor Kay. Christie will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Jenece Annabell Johnson was born on November 24, 1932, in Lehigh, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Ula (DuBois) Johnson. Jenece graduated with the Lehigh High School class of 1950, and furthered her education at the Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls.

On May 8, 1954, Jenece was united in marriage to Joseph Kisch at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lehigh. The couple made their home in Lehigh. Jenece was a homemaker and also worked Tobin’s/Hormel’s in Fort Dodge, the Post Office in Lehigh, and the Gambles Store in Lehigh. 

Jenece was raised in the Christian Church in Lehigh and later belonged to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Christ the King Catholic Church. She was active in the St. Agnes Altar Society, the Lehigh Women’s Club, the VFW Auxiliary, and quilted with the women of the Christian Church in Lehigh. 

Survivors include three children, Ron Kisch, Beth Kisch, Paula Kisch (Robert Ulicki), all of Lehigh, Iowa; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Amy) Johnson of McKinney, Texas; and sister-in-law, Lou Johnson of Crawfordville, Florida. 

In addition to her parents, Jenece was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kisch, two daughters, Kathleen Kisch, and Sharon Hansen, and siblings, Bonnie (Skip) Vandi, Bruce Johnson, Dick (Barb) Johnson, and Coral (Paul) O’Hearn.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
