Joyce Lass, 78, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Church of Christ in Ogden. Joe Buxton will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Joyce Devee Wright was born on January 29, 1937, in Jackson Township, Greene County, Iowa, the daughter of John "Jack" and Clara (Mull) Wright. She graduated with the Scranton High School class of 1955.

On August 28, 1955, Joyce was united in marriage to Donald L. Lass at the Central Christian Church in Jefferson, Iowa. After marriage, the couple lived and farmed in the Ogden area for many years. In the mid 1980's, Don and Joyce moved into Ogden.

Joyce belonged to the Church Of Christ in Ogden. She was a tremendous wife and mother who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce loved her family and enjoyed cooking and reading her Bible daily.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Don L. Lass of Ogden, Iowa; two sons, Gary (Marci) Lass of Ogden, Iowa, and Don L. (Sandra) Lass of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren, Daniel (Amanda) Lass, Kara (T.J.) Klith, Jeremy (Laura) Lass and Charise (Ethan) Bailey; eight great grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, and Macy Lass, Jude, Jackson, and Jace Klith, Payton Lass, Braden Bailey and one great grandson due in December of 2015; two brothers, Jerry (Norma) Wright of Phoenix, Arizona, and Darwin (Theresa) Wright of North Dakota; three sisters, Betty McLaughlin of Phoenix, Arizona, Peggy (Darwin) Carrick of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Joan (Don) Schilling of Jefferson, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Brandon Lass, and three brothers, Verle, Earl, and Doyle Wright.
