Joyce Lorene Andrews

Joyce L. Andrews, 53, of Des Moines, Iowa and formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Unity Point – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A come & go Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Masks are required.

Joyce Lorene Heun was born on December 30, 1966, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Harold and Opal (Acheson) Heun. She graduated with the Dayton High School class of 1985, and furthered her education at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.

Joyce previously worked in food services managing both Long John Silvers and the Pizza Ranch in Fort Dodge, and later worked as job coach at Lifeworks.

She enjoyed playing in dart leagues, fishing, and kayaking with friends ~ her favorite holiday was Halloween. Most of all, Joyce loved spending time with her two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Heun, fiancé, Clint Larsen, nephew, Brian Heun, and her great niece, Dakotah Fevold.

Survivors include daughters, Jenni (Ryan) Kallenbach and Jessica Pickett (Russel Nissen) of Fort Dodge, IA; and her grandchildren, Baylee and Evan Willson. She is also survived by her mother, Opal Heun of Dayton, IA; and siblings, Dennis (Pam) Heun of Columbia, Missouri, Elaine (Jim) Fevold of Gowrie, IA, Ray (Kathy) Heun of Dayton, IA, Duane (Lori) Heun of Dayton, IA, and Jeanne (Tom) Stoneburner of Dayton, IA; special friend, Ben Robertson of Des Moines, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
