Larry E. Ferrari, 77, of Pilot Mound, Iowa, passed away Sunday morning, July 23, 2017, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Stratford. Pastor Evelyn Lewiston will officiate. Burial will be at Mineral Ridge Cemetery in Ridgeport. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church. Larry Eugene Ferrari was born on February 22, 1940, in Ogden, Iowa, the son of Eugene and Floy (Johnson) Ferrari. He attended Pilot Mound Schools.
On May 12, 1962, Larry was united in marriage to Nancy Dutcher at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford. To this union three children were born: Laurie Ann, Troy Alan, and Roxanne Marie.
Larry worked as a welder and in maintenance at Quinn Ironworks in Boone for nearly 20 years, and later at Hallets in Boone. He also farmed and raised cattle near Pilot Mound for many years, which was his passion. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry attended the First Baptist Church in Stratford.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nancy Ferrari of Pilot Mound, Iowa, children Laurie (Gerald) Delebreau of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Troy (Lori) Ferrari of Dayton, Iowa, and Roxanne (Dave) Dozier of Ogden, Iowa; grandchildren, Anthony, Alex, Douglas, and Elisabeth Delebreau, Torrie, Jossie, Jaynie, and Rylie Ferrari, and McKayla, Lydia, and Cael Dozier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, two brothers, John Ferrari and Robert Ferrari, and one sister, Verna Hall, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
