Lillian Marie Morgan, 100, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Perry Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Rev. Stephen Ude will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 p.m., until the time of services at the Church. Burial will be at Maas Cemetery in Ogden. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of the arrangements.
Lillian Marie Heitkamp was born on October 12, 1909, in Ogden, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Anna C. (Lindeman) Heitkamp. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Lillian graduated with the Ogden High School Class of 1928. On June 12, 1928, Lillian was united in marriage to Alfred Morgan at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. The couple lived and farmed North of Ogden until 1955, when they retired and moved into Ogden. Lillian then worked as a cook at the Ogden High School for several years. Alfred passed away in July of 1994.
Lillian was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was active in L.W.M.L. Her hobbies included crocheting afghans and traveling. Lillian and Alfred also enjoyed fishing together and made many trips to Minnesota.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Shirley Morgan of Ogden, Iowa, and Lowell and Rosella Morgan of Ogden, Iowa; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Morgan; and a sister, Lydia Heldt.
