Lola M. Armstrong, 87, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the Boone County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, northwest of Ogden. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Lola Margaret Rose was born on January 13, 1925, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of John Raymond and Clovia (McCaskey) Rose. She graduated from the Iowa School for the Deaf at Council Bluffs in 1944.
Lola was united in marriage to Chester Armstrong on November 10, 1956, in Eagle Grove, Iowa.
Lola was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Among the survivors are her sister, Iona Buteaux of Port Arthur, Texas; brother, Howard (Norma) Rose of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Shirley Rose, Beverly Rose, both of Ogden, Iowa, Veeny Rose Jefferson of Fairfield, Iowa, and Mary Kerch of Clarion, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester Armstrong on January 17, 2005; and three brothers, Raynold, Clifford, and Julean Rose.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
