Martin David McCoy, 49, Ogden, Iowa passed away at his residence, Thursday, September 30, 2010.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Pastor Bruce Thomas will officiate. Burial will be at Squire Boone Cemetery, rural Boone, Iowa. Visitation will be Monday, from 6:00 to 8:00 at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home.

Known to his family and friends, as "Marty", he was born on October 20, 1960, in Boone, Iowa, to Maurice Dean & Juanita Jo (Jones) McCoy. Welcoming him to his home in Madrid, from the hospital aside from his parents, were an older brother, Matt & an older sister, Melody. Marty grew up and attended school in Madrid thru the 10th grade, at which time his family moved to Boone, where he graduated with the class of 1979. He then enrolled in the diesel mechanic program at D.M.A.C.C. in Ankeny. Following his education, Marty was employed by Hardees, Hallett's in Boone, and later worked as a machine operator at Donnelly's Marketing in Nevada. He had many hobbies, some of which included his love for camping, dogs, country music, and rodeo's. He was also past President of the Chapter #241 Coachman Club. In January 1994 he met KayNeal Ann McKim, who he later married on September 2nd, 1994. The couple lived in Boone until 1996, when they moved to Ogden and resided there until his death.

Surviving Marty are his wife, Kay, of Ogden; a stepson Shane Manship, of Ames, Iowa; parents, Dean & Juanita McCoy of Ogden, Iowa; sister, Melody and her husband, Allan Smith of Prairie City, Iowa; brother, Matt of Ramona, California; 3 nieces, Amanda Smith and her companion Garrette Boone of Des Moines, Iowa, Danielle (Gary Ingram) of Omaha, Nebraska, and Rebecca McCoy of Louisiana; a great niece and great nephew of Des Moines, Iowa; numerous aunt's, uncle's, & cousins; his best friend, Randy Jennings of Ogden, Iowa; and many, many more friends.

Preceding Marty in death were his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
