Michael J Bargman, 61, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, in the home he shared with his wife Nena.
Michael's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of His Life will be held Friday, December 16, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Michael Jon Bargman was born on June 11, 1955, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He was the son of Ervin and Genevieve (Lawman) Bargman. Michael graduated from Buffalo Center High School, class of 1974.
On July 17, 1977, Michael was united in marriage to Nena Wycoff at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo Center. In 1989, Michael and Nena established in their home in Ogden. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked for over 30 years. He retired from his job as a conductor in August 2015.
Michael had many hobbies, filling his time creating and working with his hands. He was passionate about his woodworking, photography, and landscaping. He actively participated in his grandchildren's hobbies as well. He loved attending the kids' ball games, concerts, and school events. Michael was an avid Hawkeye fan and loved watching every game he could.
Survivors include: his wife of 39 years, Nena Bargman, of Ogden, Iowa; three children, Justin (Heather) Helin and his children, Kaydee and Jamin of Travis AFB, California, Emily (Bryan) Buss and their children, Cecilia, Jonathan, and Daniel of Ames, Iowa, and Jamie (Brent) Beste and their child, Michael of Mankato, Minnesota; one brother, Paul (Marty) Bargman of Dike, Iowa; two sisters, Terry (Larry) Blomster of Buffalo Center, Iowa, and Tubby (Lee) Beauman of Palmer, Alaska; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Lauralee and Susie, and one brother, Bill.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
