Michael Lee Williams

Michael Lee Williams, formerly of Ogden, Iowa passed away on May 23rd, 2021 at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice House in Dallas, Texas.

A come & go visitation and viewing will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Graveside services will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Pastor Evelyn Lewiston will officiate.

Mike was born to Ronald (Red) and Rose Williams in Boone, Iowa on October 11,1956. He graduated from Ogden High School where he enjoyed playing many sports. He worked throughout high school in the family business, Williams’ Foodland. Mike never lost his love of golf and played throughout his lifetime. He was always up for a lively political debate and was an avid collector of fine things. Mike moved to Dallas, Texas but routinely returned to his Iowa roots for family visits so he could spoil his niece & nephew.

Mike is survived by his Father Red Williams of Grimes, Iowa; his sister Lori (Jon) Kalvik of Des Moines, Iowa; niece Katie Gastineau (Whit) of Oklahoma; niece Natalie of West Des Moines; nephew Ross of Phoenix, Arizona; and great-niece and great-nephew Racee and Charlie. Mike is also survived by his “Texas Family” who has stood by Mike and was at his side until the very end: Cle Montgomery, Dan Rankin, Sherine Reno, and Bruce Hendry. You all are proof that Angels walk among us.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother Rose & His Paternal & Maternal grandparents.
