Norma Henrichs

Norma Jean Henrichs, 84, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, at her home.

Norma's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p .m., Friday, February 26, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm, with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Norma Jean Skoglund was born on September 1, 1931, in Boxholm, Iowa, the daughter of Reuben and Esther (Rydman) Skoglund. Norma was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm. She graduated with the Lanyon High School class of 1949.

On September 9, 1954, Norma was united in marriage to Keith "Shorty" Henrichs at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple established their home in Boxholm where Norma worked at the Farmers Cooperative Elevator in Boxholm for many years until retiring. Shorty passed away on December 27, 2012.

Norma was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was she enjoyed participating in many Church activities including: Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, L.C.W., Trinity Circle, quilting, and many other Church activities. Norma was also active in Boxholm's Community Guild. She was an animal lover and fed many of the stray animals that would show up on her doorstep.

Survivors include her sister, Irene Westfall of Panora, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Henrichs of Boxholm, Iowa, and Goldie Woltz of Jefferson, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Norma's parents, husband, Keith in 2012, and two brothers, Everett and John Skoglund, preceded her in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
