Norman Panzi, 87, of Webster City, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Dayton with a luncheon to follow. Pastor Kay. Christie will officiate. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post #1856 Fort Dodge, Iowa. Norman Lee Panzi was born on December 26, 1928, in Lehigh, Iowa, the son of George and Mary Panzi.
He graduated from Lehigh High School in 1946.
Norman served in the United States Army from 1948 until 1952, during the Korean War serving with the Military Police. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
On November 14, 1951, Norman was united in marriage to Lois Lowe in Edinburg, Indiana.
He was a member of the Donald Harper Post #5720 V.F.W. in Lehigh, Iowa.
Survivors include his four daughters, Lea (Rial) Chaplin, Vicki (Art) Cox, Joni (Tom) Davis, and Shelli (Joe) Minor; 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert McAnally; and one sister, Marjorie Goble.
His parents, step father, Newell McAnally, wife, Lois Lowe Panzi, two sisters, Edith and Mary, five brothers, Joe, Paul, John, and in infancy Frankie and Dickie preceded him in death.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
