Pamela J. Turner

Pamela Jo Turner, 52, of Boone, Iowa, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames following a short battle with head and neck cancer.

Pamela's wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., August 13, 2011, at Westhaven Nursing Home in Boone, Iowa. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is assisting the family.

Pamela Jo Moffet was born on December 3, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Elizabeth (Baxter) Moffett. She was a longtime resident of Boone where she worked at the Shell Station until retiring recently due to her health.

Pamela loved life and was a hard worker, respected by her coworkers and customers. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren who were the highlight of her life.

Survivors include four children, Kellie (Justin) of Huxley, Iowa, Jeff (Kim) of Weatherford, Texas, Allison (Jamie) of Des Moines, Iowa, and Pat (Amber) of Marion, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Brieana, Alexis, Aaron, Danny, Landon, and Aliyah; her father, Alvin (Kathy) of Boone, Iowa; her step father, Lee of Albia, Iowa; three sisters, Ginger of Ottumwa, Iowa, Sally of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Jacqui of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; and one brother, Randy of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a son, Jason at birth; a grandson, Neomyia at birth; a niece, Courtney at birth; her mother; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
