Pamela “Pam” Wenger, 79, of Stockton, California, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Apache Junction, Arizona.

A visitation for Pam will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Beaver Cemetery in Beaver, Iowa. Pastor Chris Townsend will officiate. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements. 

Pamela Kay Wenger was born in Manning, Iowa, on May 9, 1945, the daughter of Harold Smith and Lorraine J. Gehlsen. She attended Beaver Schools and graduated from Ogden High School class of 1963. She furthered her education at DMACC in Boone, Iowa, and Delta College in Stockton, California. 

On June 2, 1963, Pam was united in marriage to Eldo Eugene Wenger at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. The couple lived in Beaver, Iowa prior to moving to Stockton, California in 1988. 

In earlier years Pam was employed as a secretary at Nelson & Johnson Law firm in Ogden, Iowa, prior to working as the bookkeeper for Wenger Truck Lines Inc., and Wenger Transfer Inc. in Beaver, Iowa, and then in Stockton, California, until retiring in 2014. Pam continued working as business manager for Amway. 

Pam was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lodi, California, the Republican Women of both Lodi, and Stockton, California, and the Rotary Club of Stockton.

In addition to her mother, Lorraine Gehlsen, and step-father, Raymond H. Gehlsen, Pam is also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Lynne Wenger on July 26, 1986, and a grandson, Alexander James Wenger. 

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Eldo Wenger; two sons, Chris (Kelley) Wenger, and Todd (Terrie) Wenger; two granddaughters, Courtney Wenger and Alexandria (Michael) Schrick-Monrean; one great granddaughter, Peyton Monrean; her father, Harold Smith; her sister, Linda (David) Beeghly; and brother, Barry Gehlsen.

Memorials may be directed to the Lisa Lynne Wenger memorial fund at the University of Northern Iowa, payable to: UNI Foundation, with Lisa Wenger Scholarship in the memo field and mailed to: University of Northern Iowa Foundation, 121 Commons, Cedar Falls, IA 50614-0239.
