Patricia A. Cooper, 86, of Dayton, Iowa and formerly of Ames, passed away on Monday evening, July 26, 2021 at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton.

Patricia Ann Cecilia Alcazar was born on January 5, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Evelyn (Gasaway) Alcazar.
She graduated from Dayton High School and furthered her education at Iowa Methodist School of Nursing where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse.
On August 3, 1957, Pat was united in marriage to Dave G. Cooper. The couple made their home in Dayton. Pat worked for over 40 years as a State of Iowa Nursing Inspector. Dave and Pat also owned & operated Cooper’s Champlain Service Station in Dayton until 1983.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dave Cooper on August 14, 2015.
Survivors include four children, Curtis (Julie) Cooper of Dayton, IA, Carol (Dean) Campbell of Cheyenne, WY, Craig (Sue) Cooper of Dayton, IA, and Christine (Bryan) King of Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, Mike (Kathy) Alcazar of Fort Dodge, IA.
