Patricia Ann Dellachiesa

Patricia “Patty” Dellachiesa, 87, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Sunday morning, December 30, 2018, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Msgr. Kevin McCoy will officiate. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh, Iowa. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton.

Patricia Ann O’Hearn was born on November 1, 1931, in Lehigh, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Ethyl (Linn) O’Hearn. She graduated with the Lehigh High School class of 1950 and furthered her education at Tobin Business College in Fort Dodge.

On October 8, 1955, Patty was united in marriage to Richard Dellachiesa at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Duncombe, Iowa.

Patty worked at Mitchel Dental Lab in Fort Dodge and later served as the Lehigh City Clerk for many years until retiring. Dick passed away on September 11, 2003

Patty was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lehigh and Christ The King Catholic Church in Dayton.
She enjoyed quilting, morning coffee with friends, and cherished time spent with family and friends. Patty belonged to the Golden Memories and Lehigh Women’s Club.

Survivors include three daughters,Kathleen (Darrel) Hay of Webster City, Iowa, Teresa (David) Godwin of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Lisa (Gary) Erickson of Ames, Iowa; one son, Mark (Sarah) Dellachiesa of Polk City, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Dustin (Becky) Dellachiesa, Jaclyn (Jeff) MacRunnel, Nathan (Jennifer) Hay, Laurel Dellachiesa, Kyle Godwin, Riley Godwin, Zack Erickson, and Tye Erickson; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Dave) O’Hearn-Hrubes of Lehigh, Iowa, and Joan (Rob) Lauer of Lehigh, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Beverly O’Hearn and Coral O’Hearn of Lehigh, Iowa, and Jolene (Darrel) Lilly of Fort Dodge, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and her good friend Jane Dutcher of Lehigh..

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Dellachiesa, and two brothers, Paul O’Hearn and Jack O’Hearn.
