Paula Duncan

Paula Duncan, 48, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Mary Greely Medical Center in Ames.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Rev. Janell Bloem will officiate. Paula Beth Duncan was born on December 28, 1969, in Council Bluffs Iowa, the second child of William Kyle and Jennifer Kay (Harshbarger) Duncan. She attended schools in Australia, Alabama, and graduated with the Glenwood High School Class of 1988.

Paula worked various jobs in the Glenwood area until moving to Boone in 1998 to be closer to family. She met Mike Kroll in 2001. They were together until Paula's passing. Paula had been battling cancer since 2013, successfully beating cancer in March of 2014, only to succumb to a new cancer this time.

Survivors include her loving husband, Mike Kroll of Boone, Iowa; her sister, Susan (John) Casey of Ogden, Iowa; step-mother, Linda Duncan of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas; her uncle, Gary (MaryAnne) Harshbarger of Springbranch, Texas; cousin, John Harshbarger of Columbus, Ohio; and many friends and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Kay Duncan, both sets of grandparents, and step-grandmother, Wilma Moore.
