Pauline Arnes passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Israel Family Hospice Home in Ames at the age of 85 years.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden with Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Following services, Pauline's wishes were to cremated with burial at a later date in Grand Junction, IA.

Pauline Arnes, the daughter of Lloyd and Ada (Blake) Warner, was born October 10, 1924 in Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1945 and attended Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines during WW II in the Cadet program.

Pauline was a labor and delivery room nurse for 38 years, working for Boone County Hospital in Boone, IA and St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange, CA. After retiring, she lived in Enid, OK and was actively involved in Sr. Ambucs, AARP and Community Methodist Church. Pauline initiated "Pauline's Project" ensuring home owner's safety by registering their storm shelters with county officials.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Robert) Sanden of Ogden, IA and Mike (Kathy) Arnes of Plymouth, MN; grandchildren, Amy (Kent) Davis of Polk City, IA, Jennifer (Paul) Millang of Ogden, IA, Michelle (Jason) Swan of Boone, IA, Kris (Sarah) Arnes of Woodbury, MN and Scott (Sheila) Arnes of Long Lake, MN; great grandchildren, Zoe, Phoebe and Melodie Davis, Brianna Tony and Dylan Millang, Calai and Caleb Pierce and Colin Adams, Ella and Sam Arnes, and Zakary, Kaitlyn, Alexander and Ashton Arnes.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
