Randy Dahl, 59, of Harcourt, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Randy's wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Dayton Cemetery. Pastor Craig Vote will officiate.

Randy Rae Dahl was born on June 2, 1954, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Gerald "Jerry" and Betty (Lathrop) Dahl. He attended Dayton schools. Following his education, Randy enlisted in the United States Army and following basic training was stationed in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Following his honorable discharge, Randy lived in Fort Dodge and had worked at the Levien Chevrolet Dealership. He later established his home in Harcourt where he was self-employed as an automotive repairman.

In earlier years, Randy enjoyed taking his niece, Amanda on motorcycle rides. Randy enjoyed electronics, music, and loved his dogs Jake, Sam, and Night Train.

Survivors include his sister, Linda (Don) Wakeman of Duncombe, Iowa; niece, Amanda Wakeman (John Sweazey) of Duncombe, Iowa; one great nephew and two great nieces, Joseph (Kristin), Stephanie (Gerod), and Nicole; and two great great nieces, Kinley Jean and Zoey Grace.

His parents, and a great nephew Jason preceded him in death.
