Rebeckah "Becky" Morriss

Rebeckah “Becky” Morriss, 61, of Dayton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at her home.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at a later date when it is safe for all of us to gather.

Rebeckah Helen Morriss, daughter of Don and Della (Manning) Morriss was born on September 30, 1958 at Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Becky graduated from Northwest Webster High School in Barnum, Iowa. She furthered her education at St. Mary’s College in Omaha, Nebraska, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Art.

Becky resided in Lehigh until 2007 and then moved to Dayton. She worked as a C.N.A. at Grandview Healthcare Center in Dayton and later at Tri Lite Windows in Boone. She also worked as a C.N.A. at Stratford Specialty Care and most recently at Casey’s in Dayton.

Becky volunteered for many years for Dayton Fire and Rescue and Lehigh Fire and Rescue where she served as an E.M.T. She enjoyed horseback riding and art. She also served for several years on the Dayton Wranglers Saddle Club.

Survivors include her son, Aaron (fiancé Emily) Morriss of Lehigh; brother, Phil Morriss of Clare; sister, Lisa (Dave) Higgins of Fort Dodge; nieces, Joy Durham and Marissa Sebring; and nephews, Jeremy Morriss and Derek Sebring.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Debbie Scott and her grandparents.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
