Richard Charles Karas, 93, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2019.
Born on April 30, 1925 to Andrew & Effie Karas, he went on to become a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Richard was a Mason and a lifetime member of the Mystic Star Lodge in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Kristina Kay.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary Ellen Miller Karas; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden, Iowa with Pastor Evelyn Lewiston officiating. Local arrangements were entrusted with Carson-Stapp Funeral Home, Ogden.
