Rocky Jenkins

Rocky Jenkins, 59, of Harcourt, Iowa, and formerly of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at the Gowrie Care Center.

Rocky's wishes were to be cremated. Graveside burial will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the Dayton Cemetery. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton assisted with the arrangements.

Rocky Dee Jenkins was born on August 10, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Herbert "Dee" and Bonnie (Rafdal) Jenkins. He attended Dayton Community Schools. Rocky worked in construction building confinement buildings, grain bins, and siding houses, and later was employed by Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton until retiring due to ill health. Rocky enjoyed music, fishing, and spending quality time with his many friends.

Among the survivors are a sister, Beth Davis of Queen Creek, Arizona; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. His parents preceded him in death.
