Roger Boge

Roger Boge, 58, of Lanyon, Iowa, passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

Roger's body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Rev. Keith Putney will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Roger William Boge was born on March 18, 1954, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Rosemary (Waldburger) Boge. Roger graduated with the Central Webster High School class of 1973. He was united in marriage to Nancy Meyer in 1984, at St. Thomas Moore Parish in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple later divorced. Roger worked in the mailroom at Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Omaha. In 1999, Roger moved to Lehigh and worked at Electrolux in Webster City until the plant closed. He then received his C.D.L. from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. He later made his home in Lanyon.

Roger was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Roger is survived by his son, Ryan Boge of Lanyon, Iowa; one sister, Rae Heggen of Lanyon, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. His parents, and two brothers, Robert Boge and Randy Boge, preceded him in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
