Roger Erickson

Roger Erickson, 55, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at his home in Boone.

Roger's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Burial will be at Pilot Mound Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 until the time of the service. Roger Edward Erickson was born on May 17, 1961, the son of Dwain and Shirley (Campbell) Erickson. He graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1979. After high school Roger went to work as a truck driver. He worked for Wenger Truck line, Gustafson Trucking, Decker Trucking, D & L Trucking and Burt Farm Trucking. Due to health Roger retired in 2009.

He was a member of the Pilot Mound Methodist Church, where he enjoyed assisting with the fund raising and visiting with the people. Roger enjoyed listening to the Old Country music, some of his favorites were Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Erickson of Boone, IA; brother, Robert (Julie) Erickson of Boone, IA; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dwain Erickson in 2008, brother, Larry Erickson in 1992.
